Yann Arthus-Bertrand - Being A Photographer

I just bought this book, and i recommend it for anyone who thinks that photographers have a easy life. It’s hard to do excellent work, it takes a lot of energy, determination and team work.

I highly recommend this book if you are interested in any form of art, it’s millions times better than a “how to be like anybody else…” manual.

I added these books to my library, actual physical books are a thing i can’t do without. Be it on-line, or on a local bookstore i can’t resist them. I feel the need to constantly augmenting my understanding of art and it’s world, so that i can became better as a creator and workshop trainer.

Art and instinct is something i could not pass, i am an instinctive person, not a 100% rational type.

David Byrne is someone we all can learn from, i have been following his blog for ages now, so the minute i saw this book i had to buy it!

These two are more thoeretical, but i wanted to read them for a long time, digital reproduction upgrades mechanical reproduction, but i suspect the conclusions should be identical, Walter Benjamin would be right at home in the XXI century.

This last weeks have been very book filled ones. After the purchase of “Lisboa, Cidade Triste e Alegre”, i also could not resist purchasing some more books, both locally and on-line.

I specially recommend the book by David Hockney, his reflections about his own work are very intelligent and made think about the validity of photography as an art form.

This long awaited photobook, one i had been dreaming of owning for some years now, it’s finally here in my hands.

Great photobooks should never became out of print, photographers must always have the possibility of finding inspirations and bliss in them.
